labels and buying it!
Have you ever noticed how everything and everyone in our lives tend to have labels?? We put them on ourselves, others put them on us, but do they truly define us? How many labels can we each have, who gives us the right label? Can we change our label with a razor and some goo gone?
Right now I am struggling with a couple of my labels, I don’t like them in fact, most likely I will lose sleep over them, and then I will need to add a label, (bad sleeper) but I have had that label for a long time, anyway, labels that I don’t like are currently defining me, I am not Dawn blah blah. I am Dawn yuck yuck!! How do I turn it around before the label drags me down?
And just out of curiosity sake, how do some people always embrace their beautiful labels, like good hair, nice teeth, charitable, Godly, inspirational? And others just wholly embrace the negative ones like, grouchy, moody, dry skin, cold natured?
I want to be the writer of my labels, and cast out the ones I don’t want, or at least not buy into them so heavily, some of my things are just that, they are my make-up yes, but the do not define who I am. I would guess that we each have about a hundred yellow post it note size labels on us, some self given, others Dr. given, spouses, inlaws, siblings.
I think my new label should be fushia, and it will just say GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME! and just for some extra flair, I might add sparkle!
