News from the NUTHOUSE!
My daughter has her first car! OH THE MAGNITUDE OF THAT! The first emotion is of course ROCK ON! thrilled, happy, and wow, she is old enough to be a car owner! Then the second emotion hits, not near as fun as the first, it involves danger, and going to fast, and not being careful, and SLOW DOWN! I keep going back to the fact that we as the human race have an extremely strong will to survive, however, teenagers, and cars YIKES!
Also, she is going to graduate, my baby girl, pink dresses, baby doll, soft and sweet, is now old enough to make her own decisions and yes even to vote! I sure hope I raised her right, I tried to fill her up with all the rights and none of the wrongs, the good and not the bad! Did I fail or did I succeed? Time will tell, I am laying heavy odds that she is going to do well in life, maybe less to do with me, and more to do with who she is! She is for the most part a really lovely, kind spirited soul. A bit too much like her mother at times but well, it makes her “scrappy”!
My daughter, her “faded genes” her words, not mine, black nails, funky jewelry, dog collar bracelets, all things to put it out there that she is unique as all the rest of the teens, she is a nut! with a capital T! silly girl, so fun, also, so wary, I love this daughter of mine, crazy kid! She makes me laugh!
